Ten Vergent, Elisabeth Maria, "A Survey of Scaling Methods for the Measurement of Attitudes: A Comparison of American and West German Attitudes Toward Abortion," Unpublished Ph.D. dissertation, University of Alberta, 1985.
Abstract:
Using Mokken scaling techniques, survey data reveal that Germans' and Americans' abortion attitudes form a unidimensional scale, a shorter version of which is robust for both nations. Other scaling techniques are contrasted to this technique.
