Abstract:
Five areas of public controversy are examined for evidence of our ideological biases concerning human sexuality: abortion, genetic differences, exploitation and pornography, sexual normality, and sexual history. Two conflicting ideologies, Traditional-Romantic and Modern-Naturalistic, are derived from this analysis. Both ideologies lead their adherents away from a broader set of choices available in the area of human sexuality.
