Abstract:

Black females are not consistently more feminist in sex-role outlook than white females. However, black males, especially those of the middle class, are more conservative than white males. Black men are more liberal than whites on political views treatment of criminals, marijuana use and pornography, suggesting that their conservatism is sex-role specific.
