Abstract:

Americans continue to hold the leadership of the medical and scientific communities in high esteem, with about 40 percent expressing a great deal of confidence in the leaders of these institutions. Americans are less confident in leaders of education, organized religion, and major companies, and least confident in leaders in Congress, the Executive branch of the Federal Government, the press, television, and organized labor.
