Ladd, Everett Carll, "Black and White Americans: 'Two Societies?'" Report prepared for the United States Information Agency, July, 1992.

Abstract:

In recent decades, whites' and blacks' opinions have been converging. Whites show increasing support for residential and school integration. Whites still do not favor affirmative action, while blacks do. But all racial groups value individual effort and believe that current government action can work.
