Jelen, Ted G., "Images of God as Predictors of Attitudes on Social Issues Among Fundamentalists and Non-Fundamentalists," Paper presented to the Society for the Scientific Study of Religion, Savannah, October, 1985.

Abstract:

Controls for traditional Christian image of God accounted for about one-third of the covariation between Biblical literalism and attitudes toward adultery, abortion, and pornography. No significant relationship was found when the effects of image of God on attitudes of homosexuality and marijuana usage were considered.
