Abstract:
Among the elderly, the wealthy, females, the highly educated, and those frequently attending church have higher levels of life satisfaction. Satisfaction with health had the strongest positive effect on satisfaction. Among the divorced, women had higher levels of life satisfaction, satisfaction with health, education, and church attendance, but lower incomes.
