Abstract:
White college-educated blue-collar workers, even the downwardly mobile ones, are not especially distressed with their situation, nor are young blue-collar workers. These conclusions may differ from previous ones because of the problems of misinterpretation of downward mobility and the blurring of the distinction between blue and white collar.
