Abstract:
The marital happiness of childless or non-parent females is greater than that of current and post-parent females regardless of age. The effects of parenthood status on male marital status are less clear, but it appears current parents are less happily married than post-parents and non-parents, with the exception of those in the 31 to 50 age group.
