Abstract:

This report of a large survey of Catholics in Canada and the U.S. looks not only at the decline in religiosity among Catholics, but also analyzes attitudes towards religious vocations, Catholic fraternal societies, and other topics of interest to the Church. A major conclusion is that religion is a "primary group" phenomenon, influenced most by those with whom one is most intimate.
