Feagin, Joe R. and Vera, Hernan, White Racism. New York: Routledge, 1995.

Abstract:

While most Whites do not identify themselves as racists, they often feel Blacks are lazier, more desirous of living on welfare, more violent, less competent, and other fictions that allows whites to maintain a sense of privilege based on superiority. This mentality lies not only behind flagrant events of racial tension, but everyday, ritualized racist acts.
