Abstract:
Divorce rates have doubled between 1960 and 1996. The percentage of births to unwed mothers has also dramatically increased since 1960. Additionally, the percentage of children living with their original two parents is also decreasing. Americans are marrying later in life, and cohabitation is an increasing trend before marriage.
