Canan, Grace Vallari, “Labor Force Participation of Registered Nurses”. Unpublished Masters' Thesis, University of Florida, 1989.
Abstract:
Higher wages for nurses have increased their labor force participation despite recent increases in risks and drawbacks for nurses. Older cohorts were negatively affected by the presence of small children while recently surveyed nurses, who also work less as they age, tend to work less if married and work more with increased household income.
