Calasanti, Toni M., "Participation in a Dual Economy and Adjustment to Retirement," International Journal of Aging and Human Development, 26 (1988), 13-27.
Abstract:
This study of adjustment to retirement, as opposed to those which accept social structure as a given, provides an alternative model of the economic system which assesses the effects of sectoral placement of workers on subsequent retirement satisfaction. Two different groups of retirees are found, one which is primarily concerned with health, and one for which financial adequacy is more important for retirement adjustment.
