Allen, Robert E.; Keaveny, Timothy J.; and Jackson, John H., "A Re-examination of the Preferred Job Attributes of Full-Time and Part-Time Workers," Journal of Management, 5 (Fall, 1979), 213-227.
Abstract:
When only professional/managerial and blue collar occupational categories are examined full-time and part-time workers want basically the same things from their jobs. On the other hand, female clerical workers show large differences in preferred job attributes between full- and part-time workers. Overall, employee's marital and family status, sex, and occupation influence preferred job characteristics.
